Surgery has been cancelled :-(

We have just returned from Children's and they confirmed that the surgery has been cancelled at this point becasue of Karter being sick. Apparently, they are concerned that if he is put out for 5 hours that there could be complications afterwards with his breathing.

We are feeling surprisingly at peace with the whole thing. Looks like the main thing is to get him back to health and then we will look at surgery again at that point. It could be as soon as a few weeks. We will keep you posted.

Thank you for journeying with us on the very up and down road...anyone else getting car sick?

Well, what can be said?? It's just that time of year when the little ones are getting sick. Both my boys have had it (Braeden is sick right now...a bit of teething too).
We will keep you in our prayers...what an emotional roller coaster for you guys, especially Paige I'm sure :)
Love ya ~Candice

God's timeing is always right... Todd has a quote book I was looking through yesterday and one comes to mind just now...
"Faith puts God between us and our circumstances." and "Faith gives a person power"

You guys are a true people of faith! And trust God to give you the power to get through this.

Love in Christ,
sls

Char - I am not surprised by this. It's somehow not right w/ God yet and his timing. Keep in mind, for everyday that Karter struggles with this awful thing his body is still growing and he is gaining some strength. I believe that God moved this up and got the decision of postponement over with before the weekend so now you know and don't have to wonder. Every struggle you face somehow is meant to glorify God. You are all such a strong family - all of us are sitting in amazement as we watch your testimony of faith. Just keep the faith and follow his lead. Take one day at a time and lean on all of us! Love you!

Ok guys well we will just have to sit back and let God be God and try not to tell Him how to do things but just Thanks Him for Karter and that He knows best. Being anxious for nothing and giving Thanks to God is sometimes the toughest part. We are thankful that the Peace of God which passes all understanding is with you now.

Love you
